What a great chap. Donn is over in the UK but has an address here in the states so shipping to him is a breeze. He isn't able to easily land our US stuff so he is willing and able to trade some of the great Euro beers and rare stuff we can't get here. He sent me a great box of goodies and essentially doubled what he agreed to send me by sending a few rare gems only available over in the UK and stuff we would never be able to get our hands on here. A fiver of Sucks and a bottle of Ommegang Chocolate Stout for all of these? Are you kidding me? What a guy!

This was my FIRST good trade and Donn went above and beyond my expectations. Trade with him with the utmost of confidence!

I can 2nd this. Our 'trade' actually started out as a simple conversation about my avatar and his son. I mentioned a hankering for some UK beers that I missed. Long story short, he told me to go to BoE website and do some virtual shopping, after which he went to the store itself and picked up almost all of what I had shown interest in! No return box expected, he just wanted to share the love. I did of course send a box in return but was not really able to match what he had sent me (I'm not really a trader and don't have access to good distro here).

mtbdonn is the real deal and does this for the right reasons. Keep your head down in 'Stan next month my friend.

Enjoy that Kernel beer. Amazing young UK brewery (and it's even pretty difficult to locate their beers in bottles throughout most of the UK, so that was a really thoughtful add-in on his part).

I had a bottle of The Kernel's Imperial Brown Stout and was REALLY surprised... Very tasty.

And I will pile-on, Donn is a super BA that I hope to add my 3rd trade with him sometime soon.

Donn is an awesome guy. Extremely generous in sharing his beer also. My top reason for starting to trade is so I can repay him for what I've been able to drink because of him.

Donn is a fantastic, insanely generous BA. I believe we're setting things for our fourth trade at this point. Great guy!

Sorry boys! Going with the Spurs and G-Bale. I do like Wenger and Co, but my son wouldn't allow it any other way!
Did I mention Bale is THE striker of the moment; the game winner against WHam was ridiculous! And the two free kicks against Lyon!

Bale is playing amazing right now. Spurs will be very, very tough on Sunday and our back 4 still seem shaky at key moments even though Nacho has strengthened it. I'd easily take a draw and the 1 point. Live to fight another day.

That's more like it. Told you Donn was a stand-up fellow.
Yes Bale is pretty much doing what he wants right now. It's pretty to watch.
For the record, I happen to cohabit by choice with a Gunner so I'm actually a bit fond of them. Just not tomorrow.
In the interest of keeping this from being nuked, I'll probably be enjoying the win with a Black Sheep or two. How about you?

I'm like you, not tommorrow. But fortunately for me, I don't have the competition residing in the house with me, such as yourself. My oldest is a ManU fan (from his friends I expect since we got here 4 years ago) but they seem to be the band wagon favorites here in England, like the Dallas Cowboys back home. I myself feel you need to support the local club, which for me is Peterborough Posh; big win tonigh!
But for brew tonight I'm a bit torn, lately I've received GBS and Old Rasputin, I may need to just flip a coin :grinning:

didnt intend to derail the thread, but once I saw that comment I had to reply
much rather see threads about great traders than bad ones...

just got back from Hardywoods Bourbon Sidamo release and have re-organized some of the cellar. of course I will probably have to redo everything over the next couple weeks as some trades, bif boxes and my haul from the Voodoo release has to fit somewhere...
as for tonight, I got a Twilight Of The Idols amongst others chilling for the DCU @ Houston match to start off this years MLS season

Tomorrow's match is a bit early for beer for me (8 a.m. local time), but I look forward to celebrating an Arsenal win with a pint of Fuller's ESB at lunch. C'MON YOU GUNNERS!

(P.S.- Loving the banter in this thread.)

As the game will be live here at 11:00 in the morn, I will enjoy a Surly Coffee Bender.
If the gunner lose, I will sulk for a while. If they draw or win, I will start throwing back Nugget Nectars like they are Gatorades. :grinning:
