Probably intended to be like Pizza delivery, limited to a relatively small area to be able to get the stuff to your location within the time limit. Inside that area you can get delivery, outside, nothing.

It takes me a hell of a lot less than one hour to drive to my local liquor (any of of several), but stuff, and drive home. So what does this really do for anyone? Maybe useful for those with no car I suppose, or for anyone who is already too drunk to drive (say at a party where the beer is running out).

This might be good for the times when you have had too much to drive. I like the experience of going to the bottle shop and making my selections live.

If it ever lands in Houston I might bite. Only reason being is the difference in selection between all stores, and being I live on the outskirts of town, it would/could be nice

Good point. Which makes me think Amazon will only deal with large enough suppliers who probably have a "live" inventory method. (customer checks out and the amount available online decreases)...

The whole Amazon Fresh/Prime Now is geared towards doing your shopping from your home. Getting groceries while sitting on your couch, if you don't mind paying the premium and letting someone else fondle your melons. That and if you are too tanked to drive...

I use Prime for a lot of things, mainly the shit I am always meaning to get and keep forgetting, just go online and grab it, usually not that much more than what I pay at the store. We now have a Wally World next to my house that allows you to order your groceries online, and the thought of someone else making a decision on what melons I get, well I just can't wrap my mind around that. Certain things I will physically shop for, and groceries is probably one of them. I wouldn't think twice about having beer delivered. I can't tell you how many times we have been getting everything set up for party/dinner and it dawns on me I have no bud/miller/coors light in my beer fridge (my friends drink what they wanna drink) and I have to break off cooking and run to the store. Would gladly have someone deliver that to my house.
