Amber Ales

    Not a style that gets too much attention, but I'm a fan; especially ambers that have chewy, jammy malt base and fruity hops, with a touch of bitter on the finish. Perfect showcase of malt and hops IMO. Not too much of a fan of the drier red ale or overly hopped red IPA variants. I been lucky enough to enjoy a few MT Blazing Worlds in recent times.

    Any suggestions for ambers in that style that are easily accessible in LA / SF?

    Anderson Valley Boont Amber is a classic in that style.
