    Hey all,

Novice homebrewer here with the good fortune to brew on a friend's awesome system. Brewed a 15gal batch today and was curious to see what people think of the recipe:

    25lbs pils
    2.75lbs crystal45
    1.5lbs special B
    1lb Vienna
    2lbs flaked wheat

Mashed at 151 for 60 min, up to 154 at mash out

    2oz Nelson Sauvin @60min
    2oz Nelson Sauvin @10min
    (11.9% alpha)

    WL565 Belgian Saison Yeast

I've never brewed a saison before and am hoping this one ferments properly. Anyone brewed anything similar?

13% cara malts (crystal + special b) is pretty atypical for a saison. What is your goal with this beer? What do you want it to taste like?

Def still going for a dry-ish finish, but with a little more cereal sweetness and a deeper color and a bit thicker body. Present but not overwhelming hoppiness. OG was 1.055
