If you're going near downtown Jacksonville, Riverside area to be specific. They have Intuition Ale Works and Bold City Brewing for craft breweries. Intuition is my favorite of the two. They're very close together though.

There is also a few beer shops close by, Beer:30 and Grassroots Natural Market, that have very good selections.

For bottles, Beer:30 in Jacksonville, for sure.

Intuition is a must for breweries.

Agreed on all posts. Go to Intuition and get a Truck Stop Stout. Ask for Andrew and ask him to talk about Tom Petty. You also want to make sure you hit Kickbacks up, which is directly in between Intuition and Grassroots. They have 80 something taps. I can never remember the exact number even though I lived a minute from it. Steve who owns the joint has incredible taste. Get the mac and cheese and put sirachi on it.

Engine 15 and Green Room are great. Both out by the beaches. Red headed step children of Jax brewing just because they aren't in the "hip" area of town.

Check out grassroots and beer 30 for bottles. For breweries check out intuition in Riverside and ardwolf in san marco. Other than that green room is good, engine 15 is ok pass on bold city.

There is nothing "hip" about Jacksonville, period. City is awful and will stay awful because the government is controlled by the Baptist church. When a cities downtown looks like a scene from "Judgement Night" after 8PM, something is terribly wrong.

Green Room and E-15 are both great, but if you are just planning a day trip from Amelia Island, Riverside is the place to go because you can hit up so many beercentric spots that are all minutes away from each other.

Never had a bad beer from E-15 or Green Room and would be my number one choice if I were visiting breweries in Jax.
