La Cumbre Elevated. Buries every other American IPA in hoppy goodness. Yes, I'm a homer, but I'm really not exaggerating. I've spent lots of time and effort seeking out all the great IPAs/DIPAs and frankly, its rare to find something that significantly distances itself from Elevated.

If Elevated wasnt distributed only to New Mexico, it would be in the first class car of the hype train.

Union Jack and Racer 5 for me. Of the ones on your list...Jal Alai #1, Blind Pig #2, Two Hearted #3...Stone and 60 Minute several notches below the top 3 for my palate.

Isn't Elevated considered a double...? I know the difference is marginal at best...Union Jack is 7.5% and considered an IPA and Elevated is around 8% I believe so not sure how it's technically defined. If we were including dipa's my list would change dramatically...

BA has it as an American IPA; so, i suppose thats what it is. But, it definitely rides the line.

I drink a Foothills Jade every afternoon at my favorite local spot. I've had all of the listed beers and recognize that all are at least very good. Just because, I would pick Stone IPA, just because I really like the PEOPLE. Back to the Jade!
