    Hi all

just starting to get into BIAB homebrewing.

Was considering this as a Porter similar to Black Butte Porter. I've adapted a recipe I found online to hops I can get in Melbourne. First time I've used brewing software also.

    Any comments would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

You may want to have a look at Deschutes' web site. They list ingredients and some details (but not a full recipe) for Black Butte there. It also wouldn't hurt to politely ask them for more details. The worst thing they can do is say No. I was pouring at a Brewfest and Deschutes was right beside me. (Guess whose line was longer...) I got to chat with their reps quite a bit and they were pretty open about sharing what they knew about their beers. However, none of their reps were actual brewers.

Thanks VikeMan, I might shoot them an email to see if I can get any further with the recipe!
