Well, you did more work than I did. I only noted if the style was listed in their "current" list here.

So, I went back and checked.... only 1 has a review posted in 2019, and 2 others with reviews within the last 8 months... so...

I was always a fan of Lagunitas "The Hairy Eyeball", but I have not seen it in a couple years.

I've always thought of Arrogant Bastard as more of a hop forward Red Ale, rather then an American Strong Ale.

To me the American Strong Ale was always a bit of a catch all category. For example: Melange #3 and Utopias are listed here as an American Strong Ales, nether are even in the neighborhood of Arrogant Bastard.

So approaching it from the hop forward red ale perspective, brewed in my local area (Los Angeles), I would call out Smog City's California Love and Sabre-Toothed Squirrel.

And would second others in calling out Alesmith's Double Red ( formerly winter Holiday Ale )

Discretion in Santa Cruz, CA has Good Faith which is a good strong ale.

As long as Arrogant and Double Bastard are widely available, that's all I really need.

That's a Rye IPA. Very definitely an IPA. Unless maybe you had it old, & it got more (relatively) malty?

Curmudgeon is an "Old Ale". Not sure where the line is between Strong Ale & Old Ale.
The two other ASAs I've had, besides AB, are nothing like it : ST Cinnamon Roll, & New Belgium Oakspire, which is essentially a bourbon-flavored beer.

I loved The Hairy Eyeball. You just made me realize that I haven't seen it for a long time.

I think in general beer tastes have shifted more towards the sweet end. But time will tell and the pendulum may swing back

Lagunitas Brown Sugga is a killer strong ale as other have said

Like Hairy Eyeball but Lennys RIPA deserves a nod.
