Heading to Amsterdam Aug 18-22 and Aug 27.

What are the good bars/breweries to hit?

Is Haarlem a good pub town and nightlife?

    Also looking for budget accommodations.

Haarlem has a very good nightlife and i think one off the best brewery of Holland Brouwerij Uiltje!!!
Uiltje Craft Beer Bar, zijlstraat 18 Haarlem.
Also in Haarlem is the Jopenkerk very nice brewpub with random beers

Yo Andre, does Gollem suck now? :grinning:

Cafe Gollem is on Ramsteeg , a tiny street between Singel and Spuistraat in Amsterdam. Excellent small, comfy bar. Great tap and bottle selection.

What does Beer Trader mean on this site?

People travel and bring you beers for trade?

As we say in America, Wynand Fockink for the win!

Damn, that's some tasty liquor. The ginger-bitters blend they make is the mama-jama. They even serve beer!

    Good tips, thank you.

Have you traveled between Amsterdam -ANtwerp?
    AMs Tips says:
    "
Single fares are on offer for 19 euros each way.
This price is currently available at both Dutch and Belgian Rail's international sites.
For how to book see our page:
    http://www.amsterdamtips.com/tips/international-trains-to-amsterdam.php
This is the cheapest way to take the train (cheaper than splitting the journey via Roosendaal)."

I cannot find the 19 euro one way fare they claim for AUgust. I will go MS-Antwerp Aug 21 or 22.

Olofspoort is much better for Jenever. And much less touristy.

The red light district has Olospoort bar:
    https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaur...fspoort-Amsterdam_North_Holland_Province.html

This is the one you recommend?
    Jenever - gin.
I prefer the beer not so much into liquor.

Also goimg to Ajax vs Willem II game? Which si your preferred seat:113 section - 28 euros; 404 or 409 section 33 euros.
Not sure what is best as I've heard 404 or 409 can have obstructed views.
