Ananke Day 2013!

Baller Status

 

1. Work may get in the way
2. I hate driving 12 hours round trip; I could be down there and back in the time it takes to drive one way
3. It would be badass to fly out Sat morning and be sitting back on my couch by 5 Sat night with a case or two of Ananke
4. Doing the math, IF I were to drive my truck, it would cost me roughly the same amount of $ in gas as it would to fly plus I woul put about 750-800 miles on my truck. Granted, a car would have to be rented for about $25-30 but to not put wear and tear on my truck plus save about 9 hours in drive time its looking nice. Also, I wouldn't have to take Fri off from work. I'm no rocket surgeon but...

 

Solid reasons. That might end up being the only way I end up being able to go.

 

Of course carpooling changes everything $ wise but then I would still have to take off from work, rent a hotel room Fri night, drive TWELVE hours, stay pretty damn sober...so maybe it doesn't change anything.

LOL. Just don't be loud and obnoxious and they don't care how drunk you are on an airplane.

Most awesome drunk on an airplane: I was flying into ATL from Ireland and a guy in First Class, who was hammered, stood up to walk (I guess) to the bathroom during landing. Yeah... he learned a lesson quick, lol. Paramedics, blood, and the like.

 

I flew for the first time since like 2002 and I was going to Vegas and was super nervous. It was like a 9am flight and I was dying for a few drink but knew my gf would start the alcoholic bs even though she knew it would calm my nerves. Anyway I finally got a drink on the plane and when the flight attendant finally asked what I wanted all I could say was "A...aal.. Alcohol. Do y'all have any?" I got a jack and coke because its all I could think of. Luckily the lady forgot to charge. It didn't help that much but helped a little. Got some awesome pictures of *********s on the window.

 

I solely fly SW for work and lets just say that there have been a few occasions where I've boarded the plane and promptly passed out. I may have also purposely routed myself through Tampa a few times to enjoy the Cigar City Brewpub.

I have actually considered bringing them to events and leaving them out in case anyone may want them. I have no problem drinking older IPAs, hell some are better with a little(not much) time.

 

If anyone has any Black Note, Cantillon, Drie Fonteinen, or interesting glassware they might want to trade, you should send me a message. I'll send you a huge list of things I'm willing to offer up, most of it over $4$. Holla!
