Seriously we are partly talking in jest. I think 8am is the early birds...a slow trickle throughout with many heavy hitters (Chad and Brad come to mind) coming 9:30.

Don't rush but show up is a great way to think about this. Perhaps secondary, plan to stay and reward Freetails great team by purchasing a pizza (fucking awesome pizza to boot) and indulging on their taps (no sour growler fills is still the rule I assume)

Maybe a keg of Peche'cus or maybe a variant of Ananke will show up on draft...and you guys and gals will see me washing dishes to pay back the hurting I'm going to put on it!

Understood. I've lived in TX for 7 years, but I'll be damned if I ever call myself a Texan.

I'm planning on leaving DFW early Friday with the hope that I'll be able to get to Freetail early and have a chance to see San Antonio (since I've only been there twice for Freetail and had no time to do much else). If anyone in the area wants to have a beer or two on Friday let me know; if anyone from DFW wants to carpool, let me know.

I got there at 7:00 am on the Fortuna release and was the first one there. There were maybe 15-20 people there by 8

Yeah! Should be as cold this time!
Also, I'm real big on street tacos and just real legit Mexican joints. Any must visits while I'm there? Haven't been too SA since I was a baby

There's a Chachos at I10 and Callaghan and an exceptional hole-in-the-wall Tex Mex joint called Anthony's just off I10 W on Woodstone Drive. With a few exceptions, you pretty much have to go inside loop 410 to find good tacos and Mexican food. My go-to taco source has become Taco Garage on Broadway.

Lol. I thought it was around 7. I just remember it was about 2 minutes ahead of you. I guess I did a drive by earlier and no one was there so I went over to the Exxon for food and a big Diet Mt. Dew.

    La Muerta was earlier.

El Mirasol is good for Mexican and they have great margaritas. It's not too far from Freetail. Tex-Mex... Los Barrios is great and they have great street tacos. There are two locations that know of... The one off 1604 is nicer and closer if you are staying near Freetail. The one off Blanco closer to downtown if you are staying on the river. Also like Pericos alot too.

Those are the local, non-chain places I like.
