Ananke Day 2013!

Great time with better beer. If we're campin next time I can only assume that we're talking about a, like...uh 14 hour bottle share. GOOD GOD.

 

The Cuvée de Tomme clone? That was Jonathan. He's an awesome home brewer. He comes to our monthly BA tasting in Austin.

Yeah, that stuff is world class. He's probably sick of me telling him that, lol.

Yeah man, come to Austin sometime and we'll hang. I'm more fun when I haven't been working all night and am slightly hammered, lol. I'm usually off Sunday/Monday (farking hospitality business).

Got tonight off. Glad I did because I'm still slightly hung over and staring at a half drank growler of Austin Beerworks Black IPA that needs to be drank.

 

Shit, I didn't drink any of that! I don't even want to right now, though :|.

 

I kept it real stealthy in an Uncle Billy's growler. Should've labeled it.

 

I nearly busted out a Hops & Grain Zoe and the Heady Topper staring at me when I opened the fridge at home.

Ate a salmon salad for dinner to counterbalance dat lunch...That meathead pizza and crab mushrooms were tasty.

 

Counted my check ins on Untappd, and the final total was 42 for the day (including 2 full pints in line - Pechecus and Ananke 2012). Fantastic!

Some amazing generosity out there today, folks. Especially bentwookie, who let us continue to raid his cooler long after 11 - Pugachevs Cobra, BCBCS, Pentagram and Ivan the Terrible, among others, came out late in the day, all thanks to him.

Yeah, I wax all of my bottles now, unless its something I'll be drinking right away. Keeps the air out, and I like the way it looks.

I'm really sad that I only had a 375ml Crooked Stave origins. Thought it was one of the best beers of the day. It was all I had... But coming soon I"ll have a full lineup of Crooked stave beers coming out June 2nd.

Holy shit. We got our max at 1pm. I saw a few bottles left in the box but had no idea that it was about to be done with and how lucky I was.

 

Sent my buddy who is local, couldnt get any. I hate being in the army and having travel restrictions sometimes!

Definitely need to pick some more up when I'm in Colorado in 2 weeks if I can find it. As I said, that's world class that just sits around in other states.

 

Was it Rodenbach Grand Cru? If it was, that's available in TX now, more specifically, San Antonio.
