just saw this... http://sfist.com/2012/03/30/behold_anchor_plaza_and_taproom_at.php (AP Photo/Eric Risberg) Thursday's media day at AT&T Park also provided us with a look at the new Anchor Plaza and Taproom just behind the center-field scoreboard. The new stand will feature your favorite beers from San Francisco's Anchor Brewing Company such as Anchor Steam Draft, Liberty Ale, Old Foghorn, and Summer Ale. But, like all good things at AT&T Park, it won't come cheap. Here's the price breakdown: Anchor brews: $9.75 Gin & Tonic: $12 Irish coffee: $11 California wine (glass)P: $10 Bottled water & soda: $5 Smart move puting this on the opposite side of the park from Public House, where at least some of their beers should be available for less. Wonder if they've got the full lineup. And I wonder if they're using Junipero in those Gin & Tonics. And I wonder if Matt Cain will ever throw a better game than the one he threw today.
If I make it over to the park this season, I'm going to drink 4 + of the Old Foghorn just to forget that they are $9.75 a pop!
I'll just continue to get my beer from public house, but I could see my self getting an Old Foghorn so long as it's priced the same and same size.
Gonna have to fly up to SFO and check out a Giants game and AT&T Park. Prices are high. But not much higher than the usual crap beers they sell. I was at San Fran Intl Airport getting back from holiday in Europe. Missed the last connecting flight to OC and then was waiting on a delayed flight to LAX. This after travelling for 24 hours already. Had a Liberty Ale at the Anchor Bar. It cost me $9 on a larger than normal pint glass. It was worth it after having hardly no ipa's the last ten days. I see Angel Stadium is getting the local craft beers in the stadium as well. Supporting the local craft breweries. Spot on for Bootleggers Brewery and Hanger 24. But you need to add some ipa's to the menu!
Had the G & T yesterday. Yes, they use the Junipero gin. The name Junipero is on the cups, napkins & swizzle sticks.
