I just tapped this for the bar I work at (not trying to plug, but it's the one with a lot of taps in downtown Anchorage), and I just wanted to let ABC fans know to get it while you can. We only were allotted one 50L bbl, and I'm pretty sure that is going to be the case with everybody in town. I, for one, am definitely going to fill a few growlers of this at my favorite growler bar, if I don't spend too much time at my own workplace after shift, lol.

Does anyone know if any other single hopped Mosaic beers are going to be packaged by other brewers? I would love to compare them to ABC's.

He mentioned "packaged" which made me think bottled.

However, if we're talking kegs only, Crux's Imperial Mosaic is really nice.

Being in Alaska, it's hard to get a lot of things up here. I figured bottled would be where I would find what I was looking for. I have a fairly good "finger on the pulse" of draft coming into the state. This is the first time I got to try the Mosaic hop (by itself, at least), and I was pretty impressed. But I'm always pretty impressed with Anchorage Brewing, so I was hoping to expand my tasting knowledge of the hop, preferably while ABC's Mosaic is still around up here.

"hard to get a lot of things up here"?? Man! I never cease to be amazed at the beers you guys DO get in ANC! A trip to Brown Jug Warehouse or Goldrush Liquors can be quite a fruitful adventure for an Oregonian! I almost always find loads of cool
Beer to bring back to PDX.

Funny, I could say the same thing about Portland. But let me know if you ever see Crux or Pfriem in those stores the next time you are up.

Not saying it couldn't be a limited bottling, but I think the Mosaic hop is new enough that everyone is playing around with it in small batches to learn how best to use it in a beer. Deschutes Fresh Squeezed uses it with Citra, and I think that's the biggest bottling of a Mosaic beer I've seen to date. I don't know how many acres were planted of it last year, but I have to imagine it was increased for this year based on the popularity, so maybe a few more months will see more bottled beers in production.

None of this helps you with your current keg.

A local brewery in Spokane (No-Li) made a great Mosaic IPA. Too bad its gone now...

I will check out the Fresh Squeezed then. It's available up here, in fact I have a keg of it waiting to go on now. Thanks for the info.

I assume you can't get Boneyard stuff (they don't bottle - it's kegs only with them). They're currently making several mosaic varations I believe. Their shotgun mosaic pale ale is only 4.4%, and is quite delicious (not to mention sessionable, if that matters to you).

The most recent bottling of Epic's Hopulent IPA was single hopped with Mosaic.

I will start by saying the beer is good. However, it's not single-hopped. It's bittered with Summit.
