Hello fellow beer drinkers! And happy paddy's day. This is my first post on BA. I've been lurking in the shadows and reading all of your posts for awhile now. I've learned a butt ton! Any ways, I live in Chicago and I am starting a small little bottle share/ beer club and I think it's fitting that the first meet up would be about the "history of beer " so I am going to buy as much variety of dogfish head ancient ales line. However, finding ta henket is quite difficult. One store in new Lenox has a few but that's over an hours drive for me, so my question is if anyone is going to be in the new Lenox or Joliet area for work or anyone lives in the area and commutes to chicago, can grab a few and I will pay for it all in full plus a fair compensation for the favor. Or if anyone knows of any chicago stores that have any. Also in addition would anyone recommend any other ancient like beers not dogfish head. Thanks all cheers!

Dogfish Head has a few ancient ales. Not sure about availability of any of them but it does seem that Sah'tea is around in a few stores & even possibly Kvasir. Good luck.

Off Color released Wari recently, which was inspired by ancient Peruvian brewing. It is probably still around the city and some Binnys / Off Color taproom.

I recall reading something (maybe it was a BA Magazine article) about a brewery in the SF Bay area that specializes in ancient beers. The article may have said that the brewery's owner had some connection to Dogfish Head's efforts too, but I'm not real sure on that. I don't know if this brewery bottles their beers so that they would be available to you by trading.
