Wow. This is a solid and simple beer. Tasty.

Your thoughts on Hitachino Nest recently hitting Houston?

I just bought two of each of the four that Brandon had. I'm eager to try all of them. I had the white ale in Florida, and so far I'm not dissappointed by my second beer from them.

they're all great chillin' and grillin' brews.

nothing over the top or hella raunchy...just a nice brew to drink.

All I have had is White Ale and I was impressed by it. Definitely a great chillin and grillin beer as E-DUBB put it. I'm curious to see how XH tastes as I'm not a big Sake fan.

    XH. Very interesting.

Its sweet. Bittersweet, not like malt or chocolate, more like that taste you get when you eat a chewable vitamin C tablet (unflavored) and slightly sour.

    It's good.

Good to know. I planned on picking one up no matter if you said it was good or not, but thanks for the description.

Has anyone seen a large quantity of these recently, besides at DQ and Specs Midtown?

I'm a huge Hitachino fan, and was thrilled when they showed up in Houston. I'm glad you titled this with Nipponia though, because of the four we got, I think it's easily my favorite.
