Andechs in NYC?

The beer section of any Whole Foods, but particularly the Bowery store (Houston St.).

 

Prospect Heights Beer Works in Brooklyn is the only place in NYC where I've noticed Andechs - but I think those beers have been sitting there for a while. I don't recall seeing any at Whole Foods. Definitely call ahead to any shop.

 

I've seen the Doppelbock and Vollbier Hell at Chelsea Whole Foods. Likely to be at others.

 

They had the doppelbock at Beer Culture on 45th fairly regularly until I noticed they were out when I was in their last on Monday. They still had the Hefeweizen, though, I think. I'd check there.

 

Definitely Whole Foods Bowery. They should have plenty. Check out New Beer Distributors around the corner from there also, just in case.

You might even be able to find some on tap at a bar if that interests you. At the moment, Ginger Man has the Dunkles Weissbier.

 

I can, indeed, confirm the doppelbock is back on the shelves at Beer Culture.
