Well well well. I purchased two bottles of Anderson Valley Bourbon barrel aged stout and conveniently placed them in my cupboard where they rest in minimal light and decent temperatures. Everyone's happy... but wait. I come home from work today to find both have exploded with both bottles breaking at the base. Sad times. Was intrigued to see if any other Aussies have had such an issues as the import of these arrived a few weeks ago. At least part of my house smells heavenly. Cheers, Josh
Damn that sucks. Maybe pass it on to the shop you bought it from or the distributor if you know who they are. Im sure theyd want to know about something like that especially if its more than one bottle. And though it wont bring back your two bottles, there may be some type of compensation in it for you...
Hey there. I am the NSW rep for redwood, who distributes AVB. I already sent you a PM but thought good to post on here as well. Sorry to hear the bottles broke on you. As Joecast said contact the shop you bought from and send me a mail to my redwood account and will do what I can to get you sorted out.
Yeh I had 10 cartons that all exploded. I unfortunately lost all records and evidence, Ill pm you my PO box to replace....
Just to put it into perspective. The NSW Rep for Red Wood was extremely helpful and made sure the situation was made attention to the venue where i purchased the bottles. As i thought, the incident was isolated and just a little bad luck. Im still licking the walls for the last drop thou
