Anderson Valley Summer and Winter Soltice- Same Beer?

    I don't think so. They are supposed to be different and I always thought they were different, but I have never had them side by side. I also haven't had either in a long long time.

    No, they are some of my favorite shelf turds (if you've been following the great Whale debate) in CA. Summer is a cream ale and you get more strawberry and cotton candy. Winter is more malty and IIRC slight dark fruit.
    This is from memory, as I am organizing my beer reviews in the coming weeks.

    I last had Winter a few months ago after I brought one back to TX from CA to share with some co-workers. When I found Summer in TX in April I was very happy. Perhaps I should open another one now....

    AV BB Stout is terrible. Haven't drain poured a beer in a long time.
