FYI they just released a collab with civil society. 3 barrel aged beers that sound pretty fantastic. worth checking out if you plan on being in south florida for a pickup

Civil allow proxy pick up?

 

They do allow proxies

 

For clarity since this is the Angry Chair thread, Civil Society is allowing proxies for this recent AC collab at Civil.

Angry Chair did allow proxies for a release a while back but have not since. For what it’s worth one of their long term bartenders told me “we are out of the proxy business”. They’re not a decision maker at AC so take that for what it’s worth, but they haven’t done proxies since.

I'm fine with AC not doing proxy themselves. No easy I get the last few releases if there are proxys allowed

 

Was there yesterday and Tyler said they sell out anyway so why waste the time trying to figure out proxies. Check ID give um the bottles... just easier and he said that as far as he knows the website has been working well so why change until all this is over.

 

Hell I'm not against online releases from here on out. Since I work most weekends it works out better for me, buy beer online and pickup when I get off. Just picked up Ba Snowball and can't wait to open a bottle

 

When I went to pick up my BASB....guy before was discussing he bought the bottles so he can sell the bottles to the bar staff.....their eyes couldn't roll hard enough

 

Wait...what? The guy was telling the staff that was handing him the bottles he was going to sell them? WOW

Would love to witness someone do that at Side Project. They would be eaten alive. lol

 

There are a large number of people that are going to sell those bottles, let’s not kid ourselves. Douche move to tell the bartenders though.

Full disclosure: I have never sold a bottle and am adamantly opposed to the concept.

Of course....part of AC lines are people looking to only sell. I just can't believe he decided to openly mention it to people who work there.

 

Best part of going to pick up those bottles was that they had all those lagers in cans. Bought 2 cases. And got several free vodnik glasses!

while I love the stouts, vodnik is the best beer they make.

 

I hope they have those cases and glasses this weekend too.

 

Their website could still use some work, it has crashed for me for BASB and BAAT.
I just pray and wait for the email to come in about the purchase while staring at a cloudflare page saying "Error 502, bad gateway, shop.angrychairbrewing.com Host Error"
