From their latest insta post though AC have parted ways with him. It sucks this is what it has to come to, but play stupid games win stupid prizes. I don't like to see people lose their jobs over opinions (however wrong I may think the opinion is) but when you decide to put that opinion out in the world at large you put yourself in the court of public opinion.

 

For those asking it was Justin Ullman... he said some pretty vile things regarding the police shooting in Atlanta and when challenged he backed them up. its normal for him to say stupid shit on FB, But this time people complained to Ryan and he had to do something as AC has a really big diverse following.
Ryan is great dude and did the right thing.


Too bad, Always treated me well. But also... working there is a pretty good gig as far as bartending goes a.

I don’t expect to get any love with this comment but I’m an out of towner who purchased BAAT bottles before I noticed they were not allowing proxies. I emailed apologetically and asked if there was anything they could do for me and I received a response this AM telling me they could fulfill my request..

..bout 3:30 this afternoon I got another email back telling me they no longer would and my stomach dropped. Ended up emailing with Ryan a few times and even though they decided to cancel my order he still seemed like a good guy. I wouldn’t have minded if they’d outright told me they couldn’t honor my request, I totally get that, it just sucked being told they could and then reneging on it. Oh well chalk it up as another L and carry on. I’ll still drink their beers.

 

They are good people, and I have a feeling you aren't the only one who ordered thinking proxies were a thing for this release.

 

That’s basically what they said “due to the growing number of requests we cannot fill your request at this time.” I wonder if they are filling others’?

 

I’ve dealt with them through many releases, events etc over the last few years and truly feel they bend over backwards to treat everyone fairly. I feel confident if they didn't allow you a proxy they are not accommodating others who did the same thing.

 

This release was sort of an anomaly for them. usually they post the release details a few days before. I think they did it this way to stop some of the bots that scoop up all the allocations.

I know I was constantly checking my phone up until I saw the beer loaded on the site. Then it auto populated 2... woo hoo.

 

BAAT was on tap last night. Glad I was able to have a couple pours on-site because it looks like that is done for bit. Again.

 

Yup same! Rain was miserable but the BAAT was not

 

i think this was also due to website issues they had with double stuff. they announced a time for that one and the website got hammered. i was barely able to get my order through, and it seems like the website crashed shortly after my order went in.

No proxy is good

 

Is no proxy the norm for them? I finally went through the trouble of finding one in Tampa and right when I did, the next two releases were no proxy

 

They’ve had 3 online releases and only one was proxy.

so yes.

 

And the only one I was unable to secure

 

FWIW when I picked up my BA AT Sunday the two bartenders on told me that the proxy thing was a one and done as "it caused too many issues". Wasn't management talking but they seemed emphatic about it.

 

Damn, I can see why it would suck with so many people wanting to flip AC bottles but that sucks. Thanks for the info I won’t get my hopes up
