I called, I visit there often.

 

Bell's does not distribute in New Jersey - though they were rumored to be coming a few years ago. Since we're surrounded by Bell states (PA, NY), it would seem to be only a matter of time.

What time do I need to get in line to get a case?

 

I was in Westy's on Friday and I overhead them tell 4 or 5 people over the phone that it will be "next week" which would be week of 26th. I advised the guy at the register that they should screen the calls with a message on the Hopslam release and he advised that they in fact have a message when people call in however they continue through ask anyway.

Given last years debacle where the Bells truck was continually delayed due to adverse weather conditions, I could see where Shangys may be expecting it say Wednesday of this week but are not going to release it until the following Monday. Gives them some breathing room should adverse weather or whatever delay the shipment.

Regarding the Hi-Res, do they already have it in stock or are we awaiting that as well?

 

I have yet to make the trek out to Shangy's for Hopslam but know for a fact this has lasted in past years a week or sometimes more. I would think there is no need for anyone to rush out there but it's smart to call them once it's in stock to make sure it's still there.

 

While I believe that was the case a few years ago, I'm pretty sure last year it was gone by 5 PM the day they put it out.

 

I stand corrected then, thanks for clarifying. I have private BM's with Nima Shangy re: Hopslam stock in past years re: it being around for a week or 2, but it was from 2013 and prior, not last year. With Bells now in NY I am able to get it easier in NYC or Cable Beverage in Bardonia, so those might be options for those that can't make the trek out to Emmaus.

 

Hopslam wasn't hard to get at multiple Whole Foods in NYC last year either, for those interested. I personally find it a shell of its former self, but I know lots of folks still seek this one out.

 

That is absolutely correct. The other PA Bells distributor, Westys, sold out by noon.

 

Sorry to threadjack...but stopped in Shangy's today and according to Nima, they expect it to be 2 more weeks before they see Hi-Res
