I love these recipes, its why I signed up

I was hoping to see either imperial brown ale or hefeweissen among the suggestions.

Nice was keeping my mouth shut until you said this. A nice sessionable Belgian Pale would fit the bill, or better yet a good table beer

Check out the weiss beer tutorial thebeerery did in another thread. Good stuff

My vote is for a Dubbel. A style I like, room to argue, and also enough room to where we won't be trying to clone a specific beer.

What's the typical grain to glass time for a dubbel?

I'd be super up for a Belgian Pale, although I can also see how people might feel that Dubbel is more of an iconic style...

If you were bottling, I would say 4 to 6 weeks, depending on strength, until the beer peaks.

I'd be kegging but understand beers like this beer time so how long does primary

No reason primary cannot be done within 2 weeks.

And ready to drink after two weeks?

I like a bit more age on my beers, but many people would think it's ready, especially if the OG is on the lower end. I just pulled up the bjcp guidelines for the style, and it lists an OG between 1.062 and 1.075.

I brewed a dubbel last spring. It was ready to drink in two weeks, but it took a few months to hit its peak.

EDIT: Two weeks after bottling, that is.

I'll add my vote to the Dubbel ranks. I'm reading through Brew Like A Monk now and will be brewing more beers like this soon, so it would be a lot of fun to compare my interpretation to the classics as well as what comes of an Averagely Perfect collaboration.

For kegging I do 4 weeks grain to glass but an extra 2 weeks of conditioning will make it better. for bottling I would say 6 weeks to make sure it’s properly carbonated.

I'd be keen on a Dubbel or Triple.

    What about a Roggenbier?

I could certainly get behind a Dubble or Triple. As a homebrewer, I haven't really delved much into Belgian territory. I've brewed a few saisons and one quad but that's about it.

Please do on new thread in the meantime, wee heavy or belgian trappist would be ideal for this poll
