Sorry, I know these get tiresome, but... We're planning to be on foot between Great Lakes, Nano and maybe a few others before an Indians game. Just wondering where the best place to buy bottles within walking distance is and what should we look for that doesn't make it to PA. Half an hour of searching didn't turn up anything. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
Good luck with bottle shops in that area, don't know of any. There is, or at least was, a bottle shop on West 6th, or so, but it wasn't great. Edit: Winking Lizard on Euclid will sell bottles to go, it is a 3-4 minute walk to Jacob's Field(yep)from there.
If I were you I would stop at the Lizardville in Bedford Heights on the way in instead of trying to buy bottles downtown. No great bottles shops downtown but Constantinos on W 9th or the liqour store on W 6th have ok bottle selections if that is the only option.
Skip Nano (and GLBC depending on tap list), take a $5 cab or 10 minute walk over to Tremont Tap House and pregame there - best beer bar in town. And you're pretty much SOL on bottles in that area.
It's about 20 minutes from the city but head to mentor and go to save on beverage. If you can't leave the city in Lakewood, suburb of Cleveland, there is Rosie's, and world of beer.
Im not sure how no one mentioned this, but if you are in the Tremont neighborhood, check out Lilly's Chocolates. They usually have a very good selection and they make super awesome chocolates. Aside from that, the aforementioned Lizardville locations (Bedford and Lakewood), Rozis (Lakewood), Save On and Red, Wine and Brew (both in Mentor) are great shops.
Was going to mention Rosi's...do a search for lakewood and check out their many great bottle shops! Several on one stretch of Detroit road that will be worth the trip past downtown to do your bottle shopping.
