At least they #1 right this time. Clearly, I'm a bit biased towards my adopted home, but I've long thought that the "City of Subdued Excitement" belongs on these types of lists. With a couple new breweries on track to open spring (ish), that brings the number of breweries in Whatcom county to 9. Wander is doing a great job, and really hitting styles that aren't that common. They've got some barrel aged beers, and some sours coming out soon. I'm certain they'll be worth the trek up for.

As for the rest of the list, I love the area, and I'm a big Troegs fan, but Hershey? Really? I almost moved to that area when I moved out here 14+ years ago, but I just can't see that region being on a top 10 list. Even if you include an hour drive to get up Selinsgrove, and hit up the fantastic Selins' Grove Brewing.

Was in your neck of the woods yesterday. Customer entertaining stuff or I would have reached out. Was feeling dark. Had a Brown from Aslan, a Porter from Wander, and a Shwarzbier from Island Hoppin'. Solid offerings from all.

Yep - that makes about no sense, but since when has any list ever made any sense? FWIW, Missoula f'n rocks

BTW, Boundary has new "German" Porter on that's pretty tasty. I think they were going for a Baltic, but it seems a bit different than a Baltic to me.

What's it called? I love Baltic Porters and will keep an eye out for it.

Kaiser German Porter. I'll see if I can find out the stats on that, and if it's heading south or not.

Missoula has the better known breweries then billings. But I would choose billings, over Missoula. Carter's, uber brew, canyon creek, and montana brewing co are all pretty top notch. Missoula gets too much love because big sky brewing. That being said draught works in Missoula is in my top 3 breweries in the state.

The problem with this list is the best beers... They must not try the best beers in the area

This list is more valid than the others because it flatters my town. Also, there are more than 4 growler fill stations.

Sorry, but any list that includes Hershey on the list (for pretty much anything), has pretty much disqualified itself. There are a couple of decent places in and around the area (other than Troegs), but Hershey shouldn't be on the top 100 list, let alone the top 10.

I chuckled when I read that. Ooohhh.... 4 growler fill stations. I mean, that's almost as many as I pass by every day on my ride home from work.

"High-quality breweries and somewhat refined drinkers help make Hershey one of the best beer cities."

I'm glad those glowing credentials get you in the top 10. Pshawwww, I say.

Yeah, Hershey was the one that had me scratching my head the most. Its pretty much just Troegs. Brewery at Hershey sucks. There are no good stores or bars that I know of. And even if you include Harrisburg it still wouldn't make the top 50.

    Also, Albuquerque 4th?!?!?

And obviously Asheville should be number 1, am I right?

That threw me too. I keep track of the ABQ beer scene because my folks live there. Maybe a dozen breweries/brewpubs in the metro area, and when you get past La Cumbre and Marble there's a steep drop off.

I'm hearing good things about Red Door and Bosque, but those are so new I haven't tried them yet.
