Another word(s) for beer???

Up until recently my daughter called it "mocha" since my mother in-law called it "mommy and daddy's mocha" when she was like 16 months old. Now at 3, she just calls it beer.

Otherwise we just call it (what we are doing) juice. Examples would be: Grilling Juice, Mowing Juice, Brewing Juice...

 

Anyone say Liquid Courage yet?

 

Always thought "liquid courage" to be strong liquor. Then, again, I posted "sauce/souse/pickle/brine" myself, along with "Irish tea", which could just as well be Irish Whiskey.

 

In the college dorms before we were of age, we always "code" referred to beer as "pizza" so the RA's didn't know what we were talking about.

i.e., "Where you guys going?"
"Getting some pizza!"

This backfired one time as the dude with the fake i.d. also happened to be a pretty big pot head. One time, when he was baked out of his gourd, we asked if he wanted to go get pizza with us. He ended up being pretty disappointed. Oops.

 

Usually brew, cold brew, cold one for me. Cold - well, it is just hard to say "let's grab a nice brewed beverage at the appropriate serving temperature and consume it from our Teku glasses...brah" You know, that sounds all phony and pretentious ans stuff .

And for god's sake get it right...it is BEAH. B-E-A-H... Somebody help with the phonetics... bee-ah or bee-ya... Really...some people and their accents....

(Seriously - my New England accent is pretty thick except for this word...I find it usually approaches the "burrr" or "brrr" with the silent "ee" sound previously posted...)

 

Like my avatar says "dinner" Also call it my attitude adjuster. For those days I just need a little "me" time.
