Anyone on here going to the music festival Suwannee Hulaween at the Spirit of the Suwannee next weekend? I figured I'd throw it out there since there seems to be a pretty solid number of jam band fans on these boards, and I started a similar thread for the summer Phish run that turned into a really nice bottle share at one of the shows. If anyone is going and wants to crack open some bottles let me know!

I love that place. Been down for some wanees and have had an incredible time everytime. Its pretty much a playground for adults on psycedelics. Wish i was going, id pop bottles all weekend with ya.

It is quite literally my favorite place on earth. Maybe I'll catch you at Wanee 2015!

I was just talking with a buddy about 15'. Are the bros gonna pass the torch to Panic or is the Mule gonna become the basis of the fest? Personally, id love to see Panic takeover. It would be a guarantee for me every year. If so......wales@wanee!!

    I'm all for wales@wanee!

My personal feeling is Panic will take over the 2 night headlining ABB spot. I'd be cool with that, and it makes sense. Personally I'd love to see Furthur take that slot this year, but I think Panic is more likely. Don't see them doing just Mule, Mule isn't big enough to carry a fest of that size.

But essentially no matter what they do I will be there. I love Wanee; the people, the place, everything together at that fest is just magical.

A special place, that. The venue in Live Oak transcends the bands. I remember seeing many other than the ones that you guys are talking about, and each was different and magical in its own way. Vassar, Tony Rice and Peter on the same stage--hard to beat.
Just keep going. They will figure out who their headline band needs to be

If you can't this year, you should plan to do it next year. One of the best music festivals I have ever been to. Of course, the Spirit of the Suwannee in and of itself has a huge role it making it so awesome.

I know. I went last year and loved it even with all the rain Friday night. Wanted to go this year but can't really afford it so I had to make other Halloween plans...so, not to derail the thread, but any BAs doing New Deal in Atlanta this Friday? :grinning:

    Derails/threadjacks highly appreciated.
The rain storm was insane. I stumbled into the Main Squeeze show during the height of the Tsunami, and let me know tell you, one of the best experiences of my life. I had so much fun, and they killed it in the rain. Had some really interesting adventures after that too, but those are campfire stories for a different day haha

I can't believe they actually played for a while after it started really coming down. After they finished Whipping Post it was just way too shitty so we booked it to the campsite. Was real pissed that Big Gigantic got rained out but it was a fantastic weekend overall. Have fun man!
