Yeah, @SBALDWIN nailed it, probably in the right order too. Also, if you have time shoot over to Lancaster to either Hunger-n-Thirst, The Fridge, or The Friendly Greek....much better selection than York distro. And if you have even more time shoot up to Al's of Hampden in Enola, IMHO it's the best place all around for beer in Central PA.

I'm not a huge fan of beer mongers to be honest, insane bottle prices and not enough of their selection is available in 6 packs. Haven't been to golden crust so can't comment, but weis is great for price with an alright selection (nothing crazy or rare but solid), and quick 6 mt rose is a little pricey but good selection as well. I will second hitting Al's, though. Depending on where in York you will be (close to 83 or not), it can easily only be a 35 minute drive or so.

Golden Crust Pizza makes good use of the little space they do have with variety. They can get out of hand with some of the prices (mostly big bottle stuff) though so buyer beware.
Weis is nice. They destroy that joke of a store, Giant on market street. Prices are reasonable and they have a large mix-a-six. Protip: see something you want to try that's not on the mix-a-six wall? If its sold in a 6-pack at $12.99 or less, they will pull it for you.

I would love to know where I can find the selection that Golden Crust has for a better price. I commute from Red Lion to Lancaster everyday and GC has pricing that is equal to or less than every shop mentioned in this tread every time I compare.

I've been meaning to go back and check out golden crust (I was only there once but it was for KBS... yeah that was the one time I was "that guy" and found out a place was releasing something and went), but I always hear this about the prices and it's honestly not on my way to anything. The next time I'm out in that direction though I really want to swing by and check out the selection. How is it compared to beer mongers as far as variety?

Agree that Golden Crust's prices are pretty reasonable for the area. They certainly have less selection than Beer Mongers but singles are much cheaper and they tend to have things that you don't see at every single bottle shop in the area.

Weis might have slightly better pricing but if someone is looking for a good representation of PA's better distribution they shouldn't go to Weis.
