Not a huge fan of gimmick beers but out of morbid curiosity I picked up a single of this and wow its excellent. Blows Gansett's Allies Donut Porter out of the water. You taste the peanut butter on the back end and its mixed in perfectly.

Regular Raincloud is a great beer. So as long as they didn't go overboard on PB. I would think its good as well.

I thought it was very good, and definitely better than the 'Gansett porter. The restaurant I work at serves a beer cocktail with this and a shot of blackberry moonshine, which was excellent. Tastes just like a PB & J.

Saw it in the cooler yesterday. I was shopping alone, and wasn't willing to go 6 for myself. If I had one or two of my buying pals with me it might have made it into the cart.

As of yesterday, Mystic Station in Malden (itself a hidden gem, honestly) had it on draft.

I really, really want a PB porter that I like but I keep running against this really oily residue/mouthfeel that I can't overcome. Found this to be the case with Foolproof.

I was far from impressed with this Foolproof offering. Expected more peanut butter flavor.

Apparently they made a second batch that had 20% more PB, but I didn't buy any the second time around.

Been thinking about picking this up. Sweet Baby Jesus from MD is pretty stellar.

I had at Mystic Station as well last weekend and found the 5 oz. pour sufficient to fulfill my curiosity (awesome that they offer half pours). Agreed on the oily mouthfeel and while it was maybe a little nutty, I really didn't get that much in the way of peanut butter. Have to say this fell a bit short for me. Jack's Abby PB&J Framinghammer variant set my bar exceedingly high for this type of beer.

Had it last night at the Dougherty's off of exit 15. Really enjoyed it. Light on the peanut butter notes, which I think was well played. I love the base porter, it's my favorite beer in the state. This was a tasty way to enjoy something I already love. Well played Foolproof!

Very pleased with this one, going back for seconds. And yeah, that Gansette porter was a bummer. A real bummer.

Does this usually stick around stores for awhile? It sounds great and I'd love to pick up a six pack when I'm in Boston before the week of Thanksgiving.

This was my first PB beer so nothing to compare it to, but i thought it was delicious. I have gone back and bought 2 more 4 packs since and will continue to buy it until it is gone.

And i agree with everyone about the 'gannsett Chocolate Porter, had high hopes for it based off of the quality of there last regular porter. But this one is just bland and thin, no real flavor.

Picked up a 10/21 dated 4-pack at Coastal over the weekend. So far I like it, it's got a decent porter base and an obvious nutty aftertaste. Was expecting the peanut butter to be more in your face but it is quite subtle, which may be a good thing for some.

I probably would've overlooked this beer if the OP hadn't spoken of it. It's really good and I've liked it more each time I've had it. Thanks @DarkDragon999 !
