Will be in Phoenix next week for work. Will be mainly around the convention center. Any good beer spots I should check out (Bar or Store)? I tried to do some research myself but came up empty. Thanks in advance for your help!

Ha. Thanks for the tip. My search really didn't come up with anything, so I figured it was bad news.

Angel's Trumpet Ale House is within a (longish) walk of the Convention Center and keeps a damn fine tap list. Within the CityScape complex you'll find Copper Blues, the ambiance of which I find a bit generic, but the tap list is 60+, nothing crazy exotic, but a solid mix of local/regional craft and import brews. Mother Bunch Brewing just opened up a bit north and east of the Convention Center -- you'd want to take a cab, but it's got a solid gastropub-style food menu, a few of their own creations on tap, and lots of AZ brews as well. The Rose and Crown Pub is just east of the Convention Center, easy walk, and will give you several craft offerings. I'd rank it below Angel's Trumpet (which is the pick of the litter) and the other two spots, but it'll take care of you no doubt for grub and brew. (And if you're looking for killer pizza, Pizzeria Bianco, just across the way, will take care of you indeed.)

There are other spots, of course, but that's as good a start as any. As for bottle shops, that I concede is more limited, at least if you're without a car. With a car, I'd recommend the Total Wine on 16th St and Camelback, the Whole Foods nearby, or, going in the other direction, Tops Liquor in Tempe. Tons of selection that should more than fill up your suitcase with souvenirs.

No bottle shops downtown but you can take lightrail up to Camelback and Central, There is an AJ's there with a wide selection and Sun Up Brewing is just 3 blocks and has great beer, or take lightrail to Tempe. More of a walk but Tops would kill two birds at once with the bottle shop and nearby bar. Angels Trumpet is going to be your best bar downtown.

If access to a car add in OHSO and Papago Brewing.

@breadwinner covered it well and I would add that you really should use the TapHunter app for your phone. The majority of worthwhile beer bars use it here now and you can see what is on tap so you won't waste your time.

Having a car would probably make it easier for you.
For bottles I would suggest the Camelback Total Wine, I don't really like the bottle selection at the Camelback Whole Foods, I prefer the Mayo or Chandler store, but it's worth a look and they also have bars in each WF store with good tap lists. Cellars also gets good stuff and Tops in Tempe as previously mentioned.
Bars - Angels Trumpet is a good choice esp based on your location, The Attic always has a great tap list, OHSO, Papago.

Also going to be in the Phoenix area next week, albeit with a car (although I see no mention by OP that he won't have one). Besides the places mentioned above, what local breweries should I try to hit? Don't really care about the intangibles like food and convenience, just who has the best, and most unique, beers. Additionally, any recommendations of local bottles that may be available now-ish would be awesome.

Local must try breweries IMO are AZ Wilderness Brewing Co., Fate Brewing and OHSO.
You'll see some Dragoon beer (from Tucson) around too, which I also recommend.
Four Peaks and SanTan have decent beer and fun brewpubs, worth a try.

North Mountain was good, but mostly only able to drink there, or maybe grab a growler. San Tan in Chandler is good, and Four Peaks has brew pubs that you can go to without driving to Tempe. There are more that I'd like to try myself, like Wilderness and Sleepy Dog. As far as stores go, Total Wine is the biggie, but Fry's grocery stores have a surprisingly decent selection.

Thanks for all the help. It wasn't the best selection, but between whole foods and total wine I was able to grab some big bad baptist and some good local IPA and stouts. Thanks again everybody.

You should have avoided the chain stores. Just saying.

I checked out the local stores too, and was able to get some randoms to drink while there, but nothing that I wanted to bring back with me that's all.
