Any good finds at Costco lately?

There is no rhyme or reason to when or how they get it. Just whenever it comes in.

 

Which Costco would this be? My girlfriend loves campfire.

 

Almaden Expressway and Blossom Hill. One of the worst intersections in the Bay Area. I suggest parking far from it and walking. I usually park at Trader Joe's and hit them up last for more beer. l mean groceries.

 

You cannot plan for it; AFAIK even most the people working there usually don't know in advance.

Your best is to be working near one, and have an inside contact that texts you just before they put it on the floor.

 

Or show up when they are doing a tasting. Scored stickee monkey for 12 or 13 last release.

 

Goleta Costco got maybe a case or two of Velvet Merkin less than a week after it was released, which quickly disappeared, but today there were at least six more cases. Too bad it's the only Vintage beer I wouldn't literally buy multiple cases of at Costco prices, but figured I'd pass it along. Really hoping this means this location will see an increased allotment of XIX. Seriously, snagging a case of XVIII for ~$100 was one of my best days in 2014.

 

I never really get to go, maybe once a year but a visit a month ago was sad. I walked out with NO beer at all. There was nothing I wanted at all and was puzzling. Got wine. Northridge location

 

Figured I'd bump this - picked up speedway for 9.89 at Burbank costco

 

I thought you meant $3 Speedway for a second there and Speedwayed my pants a little bit.

 

Costco Huntington Beach last week. Bought a bunch of sucaba at 12.50 each. Last year got a bunch of parabola for 11.97 each, that was a steal. Literally sold out before on the shelves. I was very lucky. Sucaba made it to the shelves for a couple hours

 

I'm guessing they just had it posted on the sign hoping people would be kept in check.

 

Didn't even know there was a limit, perhaps the cashier didn't know either? She just rang me up for 5 of them and I paid and left.

 

I've never experienced a bottle limit at Costco & I've purchased a lot of FW beers there. They don't care how much you buy, they just want the shelf space clear for the next product.
I could've cleared out stores on numerous occasions but I never buy more than two bottles from a store because I don't want to be "that guy".

 

In my area the sign sometimes says "1 Bottle = 1 Sell Unit" but never says "Limit 1". My guess is it's there so people don't try to bring a whole case up to the counter and pretend it's a bulk packed item. If we get FW at Costco here at all the store never gets more than one or two cases.

 

It said "Limit 1 per member"

even though you don't need to be a member to buy booze

 

That means the general public can buy as many as they want, right?

My yorba linda Costco has been uninteresting latley but I do find myself going there pretty regularly just to see what they have.

I did score a bottle of sucuba last week - they had the same old stuff but I took a better look and behind all the bottles was a box on its side. I moved some bottles out of the way and, voilà, a box of sucuba.

 

I actually took a picture of the sign, it did say 1 per member. Didn't notice until now. Last year when I got the parabola, I bought one case, the guy behind me bought the remaining 3 cases.

 

That's a good catch on your part. The YL Costco has sucked for the past year or so now.
