Any Heady Topper limits at Alchemist?

That's why I plan VT trips around their canning dates. Literally.

 

I bought 3 last week without any problem. However, we go up there every 2-3 weeks and they are kind of used to seeing us so maybe they just let it slide. I'm not sure. The sign was there though. If you are up there make sure to hit downtown Waterbury for Blackback pub, Prohibition Pig and Resivoir Taproom. They usually have a nice selection of the Hill Farmstead and a couple from Lawsons. If you are coming up RT89 from NH take exit 2 and check out Worthy Burger in South Royalton VT. Great burgers and they pride themselves in having a solid line up of beer including Hill Farmstead(5 Hill on tap when I was there last week) and a Lawsons or two. If you have a designated driver be sure to stop in Three Penny Taproom in Montpeilier. This place is beer heaven with many taps and absolutely no shart brews. It's a super fun day and you can try so many amazing beers. Last trip was in this order of drink: 1.HF Double Galaxy 2.HF Mary(new pils, good) 3.LF Hopzilla 4.HF Susan 5.HF Abner. It's all there, you just have to go...

 

Yeah, that was quoting a post from last June. My last HT score was about a week before Christmas. The guy I got it from gave me 4 loose cans, so no idea when they changed.

Good news about the increased limit though. I haven't had a fix in over a month!!

 

They've varied the limit between 1 case on holiday weeks and 3 on "normal" weeks since Christmas. I guess they dropped the limit back to 1 to stretch the supply for MLK because they assume more people will be able to make the trip on a long weekend.

This should all be moot in a few weeks anyways. It will be interesting to see how well the increased capacity satiates demand.

 

I noticed a 2 (4 pack) limit at Healthy Living today. Don't know if it's new but glad to see it.

Was just about to post the same thing - 3 case per person limit as of my arrival at 11.20 this morning. And of my departure with 2 cases in hand at 11.25

 

Got to the cannery around 2:45pm, guy behind the counter simply asked what I wanted so I told him 3 cases

 

Does the standard Monday canning ever make it to Tuesday?

 

Yes it does, for sure. Just go on the alchemist website and the twitter feed updates the status of inventory. Was up yesterday(nasty snowstorm) and grabbed a few cases. This is a pretty good batch, but its been a month or so since I've gotten a real hop bomb batch. The recent ones have been very drinkable, not amazing tho. The blackback pub and worthy burger are really starting to focus on hill farmstead offerings. At least 5 hill on tap at both places yesterday. The double galaxy and Abner are just great dipas
