Has Town Hall posted the lineup for 2019 BA week anywhere? I can't seem to find it!

How does this work? All beers will be available in growlers on Sunday, then released on draft during the course of the week?

Buy tickets for growlers on Sunday. Pick up growlers on whatever day they are released in the taproom or wait until the end of the week and pick up all your growlers at once.

Some of the more limited growlers will sell out quickly. If there is something you really want you may have to line up early. Many of them last into the week however.

Just got home from another fantasticly run BA event at Town Hall. Coffee. donuts, and beer samples in line. Great cheap burritos when we got in the door. And most importantly, everything perfectly organized.

    Great job, guys!

(And based on the sample, the Double BA Milk Stout is a winner. Tasted like I wish BA Lugene would have.)

Agreed, thought the double ba milk stout would be good, but liked it even more. Was a bit concerned when we read there were only 30 growlers of some, but was 28th in line and they still had everything.

Easily my favorite beer time of the year.

    Agreed.

I am always amazed by 2 things:

#1) The relatively few number of people in line compared to big releases at other breweries. I mean I love what Barrel Theory and Forager are doing, but the lines for some of their "new releases" are insane. Nobody even knows if these beers are going to be any good. With TH I know I'm getting great beer for my time investment.

#2) The relatively low cost TH continues to charge. $15/ howler (plus glass)? That's the going rate for a random crowler of fuzzy juice from the new guys. (Not that I don't love those as well!)

Easily the best value out there for top notch beers!

Town Hall is the top brewery in the Twin Cities. They just aren't "new" and amazingly they get lost in the shuffle a bit these days.

Opened one of my double oaked foolish angels last night and thought it was amazing. I've enjoyed all of their barreled variations of the foolish quads, but this one is right up my alley. The tannin's from the wine barrel along with the barreled flavors from the bourbon were great.

Indeed. You can go here all week with relative ease, have singles or flights of 3, some nice food/service with little or no hassle in doing so. This is a MN icon/gem.

100% agree. probably a singular experience. They sold out of all the growlers of this yesterday as soon as people got a taste of it though!

Double oak foolish angel wins the week and I don't even need to try the rest of the line up.

Still trying to use up the remainder of my 8 growler returns from last year that they basically don't want to give you credit for after having charged you up front for a "deposit".

Paid cash money for all 8 growler deposits. Return said growlers and was giving a business card that states 8 growler returns (notice not give cash back as pair initially).

Only way to get $4 growler return credit is to spend $20 or more on food or beverage purchase. Take your family to dinner and spend $100? Doesn't matter, they'll only give you one $4 credit per visit, not 5x $4 on that visit since you spend $100.

Hate, hate, HATE when breweries pull that crap. I'll just not buy any this year and instead stop in at the end of the week for a pour of a few and that's it.

"Oh, you brought empty growlers to turn in, while picking up more growlers? Well, we're pretty busy so we're not going to be doing that today. We're going to charge you another deposit today but here's a card for your current returns. Feel free to stop in 8 more times to get that credit back little by little while your server acts annoyed that you brought said card with."

I have been going to TH for nearly 10 years and this has been the only thing that has ever annoyed me about them. You pay $4 for a deposit and you really don't get $4 back. It is an incredibly good business 'strategy', but you should be able to get a coupon for $4 off any purchase. Why in the world should you have to spend $20? I normally have a stack of those cards around that I never seem to be able to use. I am curious to know how much they make off deposits and then people not using those stupid cards.

Drives me nuts too. I basically get 14 mini growlers a year during BA week and then have 14 of those stupid cards sitting in my night stand for the rest of the year.

They were refusing growlers during the 3HT/6HT release. I have given up returning them due to their crappy system. The growlers now just get recycled because it isn't worth my time or effort.

So there is beer being poured at Town Hall this week; it's not all about growlers.

I'm on board with naming the Double Oaked Foolish Angel the best beer so far. It tastes far more like a Manhattan to me than the Manhattan Reserve, and I've been known to enjoy a good Manhattan.

Now I'm bummed that I passed on getting a growler of the Double Oaked. Would guys please shut up about it so maybe it will last on tap until I get there tomorrow!
