...like Ten Fidy? I've never aged anything in aluminum before and didn't know if the aluminum might generate some off flavors over time. Anyone?

Aluminum cans are lined, so the aluminum shouldn't be an issue.

Unfortunately, a lot of them are lined with BPA, the same chemical that has proven harmful in plastic water bottles.

I had a 3 year vertical of canned Ten Fidy a few years ago and seriously couldn't taste much of a difference between the three. I wouldn't avoid aging cans but don't think the beer develops the same way as it does in bottles. If anything, I store canned beers in the fridge if I have some that I wanted to preserve as close to the original flavor as possible before drinking.

Interesting to know about BPA. Thanks, sky.

Technically aging in a can is ideal in terms of oxidation and light penetration. That being said I don't know the chemical make up behind can lining as already mentioned.
