I have been seeing some Tilquin popping up here and there. Alberts in Cambridge has been tempting me with a bottle of Tilquin Gueuze for a while. I think it's priced around $35 for a 750ml bottle. State Park has 375ml bottles of Drie Fonteinen Gueuze for $40 for onsite consumption.
On Tuesday, Deep Ellum had bottles of Cantillon Gueze and Kriek along with 3F Gueuze and 3F Armand & Gaston. Not sure if they are still available, but things seem to last awhile at the Ellum. You might try Pemberton's in Cambridge for to-go bottles, they often have Tilquin and other lambic options.
Pretty easy to find Hanssens gueuze and kriek, which I enjoy as much (or maybe more than) their counterparts from Cantillon or 3F.
How often have people seen Cantillion bottles pop up in greater Boston liquor stores? Is that even something that happens?
I've seen Tilquin 16/17 blend and 16/17 mure pup up in Cambridge and a 3F 2 days ago at Liquor World in Porter sq. The 375ml bottle of mure I opened was a dissapointment though, it was completely flat.
I Thanks for that info. That's a real bummer though. I get that spontaneous beer is tricky, but when I'm dropping lambic money on a beer it kind of peeves me that they would knowingly ship it flat without any kind of indication on the bottle. Definitely did not find it enjoyable flat. I got 2 bottles so I'll try their recommendation, but it's still irritating and questionable if it will even work.
Thanks for the responses, the best thing I found was Lindeman's Ginger Gueuze for $15.99. Much better than the $30 they charge in Colorado so of course I bought one.
