Heading to Myrtle Beach for two days and I'm looking to grab something other than a corona for the beach tomorrow. Anyone know of a shop with a few tasty brews? Maybe some cigar city, etc?? Any help will do.

    Thanks

Piggly Wiggly at Market Common. That's the only place you'll need to go.

No Cigar City in SC. Westbrook, Coast, and now Quest are best local options that are distributed.

I drank some New Belgium and Duck-Rabbit when I was there a couple years back. Piggly Wiggly is your best bet, also the main grocery stores there sell some legit stuff if I remember correctly.

I recommend a trip to our local brewery New South for some solid brews and good conversation. Their tasting room and tours are only a few days a week. It's a fun happy hour - 4-7 PM on Friday nights. Growler fills and pints, etc.

Liberty Brewery & Grill has stepped up their game recently and has a great happy hour. If you are staying on the north end, I recommend Hurricane Maggie's, Pavilion Discount Beverage and Flying Fish in Barefoot Landing.

MB has come a long way in the past 2-3 years. There are definitely some good beers to be found. Unfortunately, CCB is still nailing down distributors for SC. We hope they will be here by the fall.

Oh yeah, definitely go to the Pig as everyone has said.

Yes, COAST, but no Cigar City. That's why I don't like seekabrew. According to them we get Cigar City [Limited] and Dogfish Head [Limited]. We have Dogfish Head all over the place and just about in every grocery store.

I know you don't like seekabrew but they do take suggestions/submissions via email. I send them from time to time when we pick up new breweries, although I haven't in a while so I probably should. It wouldn't hurt to send in an email and contribute to the resource.
