Was reading Beervana Blog and their latest story about Von Ebert's $3 Clubhaus Lager Experiment. Sure, it's sub 4%, but in a market where it's hard to find a pint for less than $8, that's a killer deal for a draft at a brewery. The only other example I can think of is Ghost Town's Scumbag Cream Ale, also $3. You know of any other breweries doing this at their taproom?
Love City Brewing in Philadelphia sells their lager for $5 a pint at the brewery. This is inexpensive for the city of Philadelphia. Cheers!
Philly is otherwise known as pretty steep? Not to change topic at all. Just wondering and asking if possible a concise reply.
I can answer this being a Philly person as well. Typically it does depend on what sort of brewery or taproom you do go to. I would say that going closer to Center City might raise your prices up. I know Jack can mention Human Robot, which is a place I like to go and the prices are not bad in their South Philadelphia location.
Compared to New York and Boston it is less expensive. Compared to US small(er) cities and towns it is expensive. Maybe there is a web site that compares the costs of major cities? Cheerd!
Not a brewery, but our local legendary beer bar always has 10 Oz pours of old Rasputin for $4. On a menu that includes rare stuff that can often approach $2/oz it's a great deal
In Chicago, it sems that most pints (i.e., full pours, so probably anywhere 12-16oz) are $7 - $8. And I think that's crazy.
Matchless has this, though I've only bought a single once, never gotten it at a bar or paid for a sixer or whatever.
