Any quick help thread for abbreviations?

It's hard to ask now that replying in the ISO:FT forums is very limited. I understand it saves time for the user posting it but at the same time requires more time to the potential trading partner who needs to do the research. Sometimes this may end in missed opportunities if the person reading has the beer but has no clue what the poster is asking for and don't want to take the time to look it up. I don't mind them in the titles but it will be nice to somehow encourage posters to at least type the whole thing in the actual post.


P.S. Example: I ended up in this post while trying to figure out what BBB from New Glarus is. Still have no idea after a a few forum and google tries.

 

I do. I try to title my thread so both the ISO and FT can be both viewed on the mobile app. I do typically spell the acronym out in the body of the thread though too.

 

Quick question. VBDL is Vanilla Bean Dark Lord, which is released every year. When people post BVDL, that is Brandy Vanilla, right? That was released in '11 yeah? And trades higher than VBDL? I guess I'm asking, do a lot of people get those confused?

 

Most people use bvdl for bourbon vanilla also.

 

I'm working on a website/database for acronyms that accepts submissions for users. We aren't allowed to discuss other websites here though so hopefully you see it promoted on the other trading sites (shooting for a Fall launch)
