I stumbled upon 4-5 bottles of Goose Island Nightstalker '10 today and picked up 2 of them. I know most of the interest is in the BC line and the KH but I was hoping these might have some trade value as well. (I have made only 1 trade, noob) Should I go snag the other 2-3 or just drink these?
the 10 is drinking surprisingly well right now, I don't know about trade value but I stocked up when I seen them..they won't be making anymore so it's up to you..
I am a trade noob too, but it looks like Nightstalker isn't brewed anymore and is pretty highly rated so I assume that translates into some pretty good trade fodder.
IMO, you were better off finding them now then when they were fresh, if you were to drink them.....as for trade value...I would imagine they could be used to perhaps snag some semi limited, off the shelf Impy Stouts that are not available to you...just my thought
Joker: That is all I needed to hear. I haven't cracked one yet but I do love me a good stout. I will go snag them tomorrow. Had to pass today because I had literally just found/bought a case of FBS for summer rations 3 hrs before. Hanzo: That was my line of thought but I did get a big goose egg when I posted earlier. Maybe I was aiming too high.
This beer sat around all year around Indianapolis. I don't consider it to have much value other than being a nice beer in a locals trade or it being a nice extra.
I don't think NS would get you much other than some off the shelf beer from areas where GI is not distributed. I had a few bottles and threw them in as extras over the past year.
