How is that Robin Hood Cream Ale not around any more?!! I'd drink it, just based on the can alone.

Tech was a brand of Pittsburgh Brewing Co., and, according to ads in the 1930s, it had originated in the pre-Pro era ("a generation ago") and the name was short for "Technically Perfect". In the 30s and 40s, it was a major, secondary brand of PBB, after the flagship Iron City. By the 70s, during the first big Beer Can Collecting era, it was just one more of Pittsburgh's collection of canned beers but may have had some lingering market around western PA.

I have an unopened bottle of miller "Clear" beer from the early 90s'. Strangely enough, it is darkening with age.

I have a lot of those cans boxed away in my collection. I especially like the bicentennial cans. I have a ton of those and a lot of fine memories of the Bicentennial celebration.

My Grandfather owned a tavern (pretty sure you can guess where from the taps), and I kept a lot of the stuff.

They are very dangerous to start collecting because there are so many of them!

I started a thread for this about a year ago, still haven't gotten around to trying one just yet, but it worth posting again.
1980 Guinness Christmas Brew in the box with the glass. The first year it was made, and it was discontinued in 1983. It was only given out as gifts by the company.

I have a tin funnel top can from the Grace Brothers Brewery in Santa Rosa, Ca. closed in the mid '60s. I found it between the studs when I opened a wall in my house, which was built in 1952. I presume that the crew building the house were drinking on the job and enclosed one of their empties.

I have to see a picture of that! There was a Grace Brothers in San Jose, too (my territory). I have a couple of their bottlecaps I found in an antique store many years ago. Not as cool as finding them in an old wall, though!

THIS...this is one of the coolest things I've ever seen on this site! I remember when you posted it before and wondered if you ever dug in. Keep me in mind if you drink it-either to share it or trade me the cap! Guinness caps are my 2nd favorite after...(see avatar)

If they have a special cap, it's all yours, hard to say at this point since they are covered in foil.
