So I ordered a pound of Nelson from www.homebrew4less.com back in June, and I have yet to receive a package or get any response from them after multiple email attempts. At the time, the order page said that they expected to have them in stock by June 22nd or something. My order was placed on June 14, and I emailed to inquire about my order status on July 7, July 31, and yesterday. Have yet to hear back from them. Anyhow, buyer beware.

That sucks, thanks for the heads up.

    Did they charge you?

Good question I guess it depends if they've charged you or not. I as well as many other people have had problems with Freddy the owner so this isn't the most legit or respectful person.

Crap, forgot to mention that no, they did not charge me. It was like they had the Nelson pellets up for pre-order, and the page said that I would be charged when my order shipped (again, it said that they would be in stock several days later). No charge, no ship, but it really pisses me off that they couldn't take two fucking seconds to respond to any of my emails asking for an update. That's still some pretty crappy customer service despite the fact that I didn't take a hit for $30.

Oh definitely. Especially if you were counting on them and didn't seek out another source.

Also, I should mention that this is the one in PA...looking around, there appears to be a store of the same name in California.

Well my apologies. Their websites look pretty damn similar, although both crappy. Still sucks hard.

I've dealt with Blaine at homebrew4less to get pieces for my system and was really happy with the service from him. Sorry to hear about that, but from my experience not 100% indicative of their service. I'm guessing he was waiting for his own shipment to arrive then procrastinated on getting back to customers too long in response. Pretty bad if you tried several times though.

Say F them and go to Rebel Brewer. They have fresh nelson and they come vacuum sealed. Win/win.

I think if you're interested in pursuing getting their hops you should call them. I've noticed some of the back-yard-businesses tend to do much better about answering their phones than their emails.

I'm sure they are, but I am no longer interested in any of their products. If they're not good at checking email, then they shouldn't do business on the intertubes.

I had a bad experience with Midwest on my first go-round with them. I've forgiven them and had nothing but positve experiences since. I believe that sometimes you just draw the short straw. Other times you have to go with your gut. Totall up to you.

Same. I had a string of messed up orders from Midwest, but after talking with the head of customer service they made it up ten-fold and explained some of the new systems they're putting in place.
