I personally think Christmas Bomb is too spice forward for my taste. Has anyone aged it? I have another bottle. I'm thinking 2018 Christmas, however I don't want the spices almost gone by the time I drink it.

I have 2 left from 2016, but have not drank them yet, but I do agree with you feelings on the spices this year. Too heavy IMO, but even the regular was spiced more this year so it makes sense the BA has a lot as well. I think 6 mo to a year will be fine, maybe even squeeze 2 years out of it.

I have recently opened my 2016 Christmas Bomb and the spices mellowed down nicely. I will age my current Bomb for as well.

A friend of mine (BA on here) recently did a 15-16-17 vert for Christmas. They said 15 was not even close to being the same beer, and 16 was his favorite. Spice levels differ each year, so YMMV.

Off the beaten path a bit, but found over the Holidays a Anchor Christmas ale from 2011! It was excellent! very surprised.

I feel like the 14-16 Christmas BOMBs were differently spiced. I think the 14 and 16 were better, while the 15 was too nutmeg forward (or whatever spice it was).

Does anyone know if they use ginger in the Christmas Bomb? That seems to be one of the very few things I am sensitive to in beers.
