headed to the HF fest so no time to brew but...

will be kegging a rasb/blackberry wild so it is ready for a bday next month .
fermented with 3724 at some uncontrolled summer temps ~15 months ago, then added dregs over the course of a year as I opened bottles, fruited at 12 months. pretty happy with how it turned out considering it was a first try.

will also be dry hopping a ~7.5% rye ipa (w/ conan) with citra or simcoe or both so I can keg it next weekend (and brew!).

No brewing.. Probably going to be cleaning out a keg atleast.. or dumping/bottling whats left behind of an old farmhouse IPA to make room for my Black RyePA, so I can dry hop it and get it going on tap in a week or two.

Going to pull my czech pils from the fermentation chamber that I'm letting climb around 2-3 degrees a day, for a D-rest, and to check the gravity and taste it... Probably going to put it in it's deep lager sleep this weekend if its where it should be.

That, and I've got a PVW russian imperial stout that I need to sit down and do a tasting to see if the oak and bourbon are where I want it.. Then another keg to clean, keg it, bottle it shortly after, so I don't drink it on tap too fast.

Just made some "weird beer" from extract on the stove top (partial mash, actually).

Goin' to brew munich/citra-bomb-from-hell-smash this weekend come hell or high water. More likely hell, as it's friggin' unbearably hot outside these days.

Brewed a Belgian Pale Ale w/ WY1214 on Monday night and Wednesday I brewed my second lambic using Mad Fermentationist's Turbid Mash schedule. I also stepped up my WL Wit II (Platinum) strain to pitchable levels for the next time I'm in town...

Off to the cottage to chill for a while. Maybe 4 days, maybe 14... Oh the joys of being a teacher

Brewing a split batch of APA. First half to go on Conan yeast and hopefully be ready for guests in two weeks. The other will be dry hopped and fermented with Pacman for recovery after guests leave.

Brewed a wild quad yesterday. 9 hr brew day, cereal mash, double decoction, and 2 1/2 hr boil. Ended up needing about 8% turbinado I hadn't planned on using to hit 1.100 but it's happily and thankfully slowly blowing off at 64 right now. Pitched 2 packs of t-58 and about 150mL slurry of ECY02 at about 72 thinking beer would cool during the lag time, but less than 3 hrs later it was alread chugging along.

Probably brewing some 'lamebic' with ecy01 on Sunday.

I'll be brewing a Schlitz Malt Liquor Bull clone (ie a pils on the strong end of the spectrum) and an Octoberfest on the lighter end of the spectrum.

And sampling a few. I have a Raging Bitch style beer and a Dampf ready to tap this weekend. The Dampf came out a little stronger than I wanted, so It may be a Dunkledampf or a Doppledampf?

I think I'm motivated enough to brave the heat and brew my munich/citra-bomb-from-hell today. About to get some breakfast, grab a sixer and head out to the brewhaus. We'll see if I actually make it there and brew the beer tho.

Done! I went ahead with this...

This is what I actually wound up brewing today. I chose this partly because I would have a nice, round amount of citra left, enough for two or three reasonably hopped batches that include citra, and partly because I couldn't remember exactly what I had planned for, hadn't updated it in beersmith, and couldn't access the internet.

I think it's gonna come out great. We'll see in around a month.

Brewing it wasn't that terribly hot, it was bearable today, even tho I did of course sweat quite a bit.
