Muntons light to 1.04 and the ECY saison brasierre blend makes an unreal beer. I might just make five gallons of it, simplicty is where it is at.

I have drank most of my starters after decanting. Some were pretty good, some were definitely not!

I always try and taste the starter wort. Most of the time, it's lackluster, but it gives you a slight, and I do say, "slight" idea of the yeast character.

I think it bodes well when you taste the final product, and you can get a gist of what the yeast brought to the table and whatever else you did to the beer.

That said.. No, never been inspired by the starter. I'm probably gonna toss a ECY14 on the plate.. friday for a sunday brew, and a Vermont ale on the plate thursday for saturday.
