I googled all over for sushi pairings and everywhere recommends a rice lager or a heavy pils. That sounded great and all but I was in the mood for something a little different. I went a little different and paired veggie/quinoa/brown rice sushi with a Stillwater Artisanal "Of Love and Regret" saison ale. Blew me away! The pair fit perfectly as the wild flower of the ale fit perfectly alongside the brown rice, wasabi, and seafood dip. Once lent is over, I'll try this combo with some actual fishy sushi but in the meantime, highly recommend!

Yup, I will have an IPA most times but have had Brooklyn Sorachi ace and it went well.I usually buy Sushi grade salmon , tuna and octopus from the market and cut it up.

    Enjoy

I usually sip on some Sapporo whilst eating at the sushi place.

You should try Stillwater's Extra Dry saison - would pair perfectly with sushi.

I prefer Saison with sushi after sake
My best pairing was Saison Dupont Dry Hopping with dragoon roll
