Anyone for a quickie?

There is a brewpub directly on my walk home so I usually do that if I really need a beer

 

One of the not so cool beer things in Colorado - c-store are still 3.2 only so not much there. Two liquor stores on the way home have a wide selection, but I end up in there for 45 minutes looking at all the latest beers...not so much of a quickee. My bias is to stop at a few of the breweries close to my house for a growler fill - I always have a couple on the Jeep.

 

Only sold in liquor stores here. Unless you want 3.2 macro, but I've yet to want that.

 

The two states I've lived in (KS and CO) both have only 3.2 outside of liquor stores so hearing about the rest of the country getting craft from gas stations is just a foreign concept to me

 

Do you mean a trip shortener, or road soda, depending on the parlance? Pretty sure it's illegal in most states to drink and drive, even if you're way under the legal limit. Texas maybe? That's just a guess.

 

Anyone remember the Rheingold "Chug a Mug" large mouth bottles?

 

Just looked it up for the heck of it. If you're under the legal limit you can drink while driving in Mississippi, it's illegal in every other state.

Me too until I recently went to Bend Oregon. I was trying to find a growler fill station called Growler Bros via google maps. I was driving around in circles until my wife spotted their sign in the window of the convenient/gas station. Inside they had over 30 taps.

Growler laws in CA suck!

 

I have to the occasional quickie at Noble Ale works as it's 3 min from my work on the way home.

 

There's a Miller Mart right before I get home, close to ODU. Your only options there will be AAL, Four Loko, years-old craft beer and bottom shelf wine. Pretty sure it still has growler fills, but honestly have not partake of their (or other) growler fills in a long time

If I ever hit a place on my way home, it's Norfolk's "drinky-poo shopping triangle" (a.k.a. Total Wine - exceptionALE - bottleBOX)

No convenience store/gas station selling of alcohol in Wyoming. At least not in Casper...

 

I can throw a flat rock and hit the closest one to me (on a bounce)

 

C stores in Minnesota can only do 3-2 beer. Very easy to avoid.
