I was thinking about doing one with juniper berries and heather (but I'm open to other suggestions). Also, need some malt recommendations for it. Thanks.
I'm planning on doing a gruit-style barleywine at some point. I'm leaning towards some Bog Mytle/Myrica Gale and some Sweet Flag. I may use Juniper Berries and Heather as well. Seeing as you seem to be after a regular Gruit, I can't chime in on malt types, as I have never made a Gruit before.
