Anyone here a fly fisherman?

    This is a total long shot, but thought I would ask. I'm pretty new in to fly fishing (just started last summer), and I was wondering if anyone here fishes for trout in the driftless of SE MN? I was thinking it would be cool to go out fishing for a day, I would provide some great beers and someone would provide their knowledge/experience. If anyone is interested, let me know

    I recently took it up this past winter. I'm pretty awful and couldn't give any advice, I'm also new to MN from Iowa and don't know any of the streams up here but I'am fairly proficient in the beer aspect. Plus it's a good excuse to stop down to Toppling Goliath. I'd definitely be up for meeting up, wetting a line some, and sharing a beer.

    I'm not a fly fisherman, but love me some bass fishing. A love that rivals my love for beer.

    I do love heckling my fly fishing buds saying they fondle themselves while thinking of Brad Pitt's character in "A River Runs Through It" or that they think they are him lol

    I'm not a trout fisherman, but can respect the talent and patience it takes to be a successful one.
    We heckle the Bass fishermen, saying they're just too lazy to go for walleye.

    We could catch bass all day long if we wanted to...but we don't.

    Cool, I'll shoot you a PM when we get a little closer to opener.
    Walleye fishing has always been my go-to, as it is far more challenging/rewarding than most other species, but I do love me some bass fishing every now and then (especially some smallie action)

    I enjoy walleye fishing as well, there just aren't many lakes and rivers here in MO that hold decent populations and the ones that do can't really compare to up north anyway. Besides, whats so fun about jigging a minnow or trolling a reef runner around all day????? Just kidding
