Anyone interested in setting up a Peninsula Bottle Share?

    The Beer Rev get-togethers are awesome, but I live in SF and work in San Mateo, which can make getting to Oakland difficult -- in the early evening on a weekday in particular. Anyone interested in setting up a similar periodic meetup at Grape and Grain in San Mateo? I know the owner quite well and he's mentioned he would be into hosting and participating if there were interest.

    Thoughts?

    We've had tastings in Redwood City before at Gourmet Haus, but those seem to be up in the air for now. I'm not super familiar with the San Mateo area but I'd make it up there at least once to check it out.

    I'm in. Redwood City checking in, and Beer Rev is forever away by public transit (though fun). Weekdays I don't get off work till after 7ish though.

    I'd be game depending on the night. Work in SM, but would have to drive back home to Berkeley. G&G is a great spot, took some customers there for a happy hour once and they loved it.

    I'm in a slow period at the moment, but usually 6:30 is the earliest I get off after work.

    Adam's a really good guy, and I like the direction they've been trending since the opening. If all goes to plan, before all that long they'll add another 8 beer taps and 8 wine taps in the not-so-distant future.

    I'm currently looking for work so any time works for me, and it would be convenient when I'm working too because it looks pretty close to Caltrain. I think Monday or Wednesday would be cool.

    I work in Dublin, but live in South San Francisco so San Mateo is a bit easier for me to get to on a weeknight so a bottle share at Grape and Grain would interest me.

    Cool. If we're going to do it in May, I'll need to go Monday or Wednesday -- I have a night class in the city. They're technically closed on Monday, but he might be into doing a special opening just for the event -- would complicate things a bit, however. What dates are good for people? I think I can make almost any Wednesday work through the rest of the month.

    The 23rd might be tough, but I'll see if I can make it happen. Might have to bring a few out-of-town co-workers who enjoy beer. It would help me convince them to sherpa some stuff from MN and IL for me. Hmmm.

    Any place close to Caltrain would be fantastic!

    And since I have not been to Grape and Grain yet... all the better.

    its super close, about a 5 min walk from the san mateo station.

    i might be down for this, my spot is a short walk from down town sm.

    Just FYI, the Bay Area tastings at Beer Rev alternate between Thursdays and Sundays, so you can still make some!

    (I almost certainly can't make something in San Mateo on a weekday, if anyone cares.)
