I am looking for fellow home brewers in missouri that are willing to help put together a micro brew club, with organized meetings, tastings, etc. I have noticed it is pretty dry here with fellow brewers, and would like to get something going with what we have, I am located in fort leonard wood, a soldier in the ARMY, and would like some feedback, thanks!
in missouri, but i live south of springfield. talk to a home brew shop near you and they can help find one close to you. Thank you for sevice
yea i actually just visited a shop in the springfield area, on Boat Ave, or something like that, i am sure you have herd of it, I can not recall the name, but i went and bought some ingredients for a newer brew i am testing out, and also a brew kit from them, a Black IPA to be exact to get a feel for the tastes of particular styles out this way, I am sure you know how much different styles vary after traveling so much, I have it sitting in my basment now, cant wait to try it, but anyhow, where are you from exactly if you dont mind me asking
yes, it is in ozark, on a back road, kinda hidden, but can be seen from the highway, i was just there last weekend
Here in St. Louis we have home brew clubs coming out of the woodworks. You might want to ask this question in the homebrew forums over at www.stlhops.com. You will likely hit a bigger target audience there and maybe someone will be able to give you some good info. Ft. Leonardwood is a pretty good hike from here... but you never know.
http://beeradvocate.com/community/members/alcaponejunior.461657/ Alcaponejunior is in Ft Leonard as well. Pretty sure he brews
Look up the Columbia Beer Enthusiasts on Facebook. It isn't that close to you but some of the guys live down south and participate in our group.
I think your best bet would be to look in KC or STL. You are kind of in the middle of nowhere. I got out of the Army in Leavenworth and stayed in KC.
